Product carbon footprint evaluation is an important manifestation of the company's practice of ecological civilization and an important measure to implement the high-quality development alliance initiative of the Pudong New Area Food Industry Park.
Product carbon footprint refers to the greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the entire lifecycle of a product, including the stages of raw material procurement, manufacturing, transportation, delivery, use, and final disposal. The main work procedure for on-site evaluation of product carbon footprint includes five steps: establishing a product lifecycle flowchart, determining product boundaries, collecting full lifecycle data, calculating product carbon footprint, and testing uncertainty.
The role of product carbon footprint evaluation is to meet customers' procurement needs for low-carbon goods and guide the low-carbon product market; Overcoming international green trade barriers and preparing products for entering the international market; Used for product promotion to enhance product added value; Provide a basis for green design of products; As the basis for future carbon labeling applications, etc.
